Leather Jackets — Built to Be Worn for Years

Every LAMMBERG jacket starts with real leather, and most use full-grain — the outermost layer of the hide, left intact so it develops character with age instead of peeling, cracking, or flaking. We produce them with carefully selected workshops that meet our standards for quality and fair labor.

Prices range from $299 to $329. Every jacket comes with 30-day returns, free return shipping on exchanges, and a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

How to Choose Your Leather Jacket

By Weight

Cowhide (Legacy) is the heaviest and toughest — it takes the longest to break in but lasts the longest. Goat (Driggs) is lighter and softens quickly. Lambskin and sheep leather (Thompson, Maverick, Bridger, Glenwood) feel supple from the very first wear.

By Climate

In the South or near the coast, choose the Driggs or Sedona. For a Northern winter, go with the Bridger Down or a shearling jacket.

By Style

For a bomber, look at the Maverick or Legacy. For a moto, choose the Thompson or Cafe Racer. For a trucker, the Driggs. For something that pairs with a collared shirt, the Glenwood.

By Fit

The shoulder seam should rest at or just past your shoulder — never above it. You should be able to zip the jacket closed over a light sweater. The hem should land at your belt line. Read our fit guide and sizing guide before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

What leather are LAMMBERG jackets made from?

Most of our jackets use full-grain leather, the highest grade available. We use cowhide on the Legacy, goat on the Driggs, lambskin on the Maverick, Bridger, and Cafe Racer, and sheep leather on the Glenwood and Highlands. We never use bonded or reconstituted leather.

What's the difference between full-grain and top-grain leather?

Full-grain keeps the entire outer surface of the hide — natural marks, pores, and all — so it lasts longer and develops a rich patina over time. Top-grain has that surface sanded away, making it more uniform but less durable. Our full-grain vs. top-grain guide explains it in detail.

How should a leather jacket fit?

Snug but not tight. The shoulder seam should sit at or just past your shoulder bone, you should be able to zip the jacket over a light sweater, and the hem should land at your belt line. Leather gives slightly with wear.

Do LAMMBERG leather jackets run true to size?

Start with your usual jacket size and compare your chest measurement against the size chart on each product page. If you're between sizes or plan to layer a heavy sweater, size up. Our customer service team is happy to help if you're unsure.

Which leather jacket is the warmest?

The Bridger Leather Down Jacket is our warmest, followed by our shearling jackets and coats. The Highlands Quilted Jacket sits in the middle as a warm everyday option.

Which leather jacket is best for a warm climate?

The Driggs, in lighter goat leather, or the Sedona Lightweight, with its breathable chambray lining. Both work well in fall and spring, especially in the South.

How long will a LAMMBERG leather jacket last?

With basic care, a full-grain leather jacket lasts for decades. Condition it once or twice a year, store it on a wide wooden hanger, and let it dry naturally if it gets wet. Every jacket carries a one-year warranty against defects in stitching, hardware, and structure.

How do I break in a new leather jacket?

Wear it. Body heat and movement soften the leather faster than anything else. Cowhide takes the longest to break in; lambskin and goat feel broken in within a few weeks. See our guide on how to break in a leather jacket.

What's your return policy on leather jackets?

Returns within 30 days in new, unused condition receive a full refund minus original shipping. Exchanges ship back free.

Where are LAMMBERG jackets designed and made?

Every jacket is designed by our team and produced by partner workshops in Mexico and India that meet our standards for quality and ethical working conditions.
